The Malta Insurance Institute is registered as an Association of Persons under the Professional Associations Enrolment Classification (a not-for-profits voluntary Organisation) with the Office of the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations (VO2205).
In terms of Chapter 492 of the Laws of Malta, the Institute is required to submit annual financial returns to the Office of the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations.
